Aircraft import & VAT question finder

Import VAT, EASA standing, Article 83bis and Cape Town positions, per aircraft register.

What this does

Four questions about where the aircraft will operate, how it is owned, how it is flown and whether it is financed. The tool works out which of those questions your answers raise, then shows what each aircraft register's jurisdiction has published on them. It does not compute an import VAT figure, state a treatment of its own, or tell you which register to use.

Question 1 of 4

Where will the aircraft operate?

Operating region decides whether the European questions are part of yours.

Every question is optional. Skipping one narrows what the report can say.

What import VAT and EASA position applies to an aircraft registered in Malta or the Isle of Man?Link to this section

Four answers — where the aircraft operates, how it is owned, how it is flown and whether it is financed — decide which questions a case raises. WhichFlagToFly's calculator then shows what each register's jurisdiction has published on those questions. No import VAT figure is computed and no treatment is stated. The aircraft rows hold both positions.
