Which flag is better for EU chartering, Jersey or Malta?Link to this section
Charter permission is what each flag lets a yacht do for reward. Jersey is not an EU register, so the freedom in the EU maritime cabotage Regulation is closed to it, though the European Commission puts most pleasure craft activities outside it. Malta's flag is an EU flag, which the same Regulation turns on. The charter rows carry both.
